Mrs. Remi Willoughby

Mrs Remi Willoughby is an exceptional educator with over 30 years of teaching experience. She is a graduate of the University of Lagos, Nigeria (B.A.) Ed, and Texas A & M, U.S.A where she received her Master's Degree. An astute robotics instructor, after twenty-three years in Houston (Texas) public schools, Mrs. Willoughby retired in June 2015. Mrs Willoughby is passionate about the opportunities that robotics education can provide for students including critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork, and she has dedicated her time to providing opportunities for schools to include robotics in their curriculum. She is the co-founder of Roboglobal Educational Consulting, a Lagos and U.S based company that
specializes in training and curriculum development in the areas of educational robotics, programming, STEM Integration, and introduction to engineering.

Emeritus Professor Soga Sofola

Prof Soga Sofola, MD, PhD, FAS(Nig), is Emeritus Professor of Physiology
at the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos. He has taught
medical and dental students for over 40 years and has been Provost
(Dean) of the College of Medicine, Deputy Vice-Chancellor
(Academic), the University of Lagos, and Acting Vice-Chancellor of
Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State. He co-founded Alofos Science and Technology Foundation with Dr (Mrs) Yemi Sofola in 2011. Alofos Foundation has been involved in training high school students in STEM at weekends and during holidays.
Alofos has also been participating in the National Robotic Championship
of Nigeria and has won three times in 2012, 2013 and 2014, representing
Nigeria in Malaysia, Indonesia and Qatar, respectively. They have become experts in robotics training as well as preparing students for admission to study engineering in different universities. He wants to maintain this tradition to continue with exposure of our Nigerian youth to STEM and robotics.
